Fairfield Nursing Home was purpose built in 1998. In 2001 Sean & Anne Collins purchased Fairfield Nursing home from the original owner.

In 2005 they built a specific safe and secure Dementia Care Unit to cater for the much sought after specialised needs of older people in the West Cork area.

The Nursing home is a bungalow type building set in the heart of West Cork in the midst of the countryside in close proximity to Drimoleague village, 8 miles from Skibbereen & Dunmanway, 12 miles from Bantry on the R586 approximately one hour from Cork City.

Fairfield Nursing Home is set on 2 acres surrounded by trees and tastefully landscaped gardens with patio areas, raised flower and vegetable patches and a very much admired therapeutic water feature at the main entrance.

Irish Nursing Homes in Ireland and Our Irish Health System

Leadership comes in many guises. True leadership must have at its core an integrity and a heart.
We expect our Irish Health System, acting as a leader, guide and mentor,
to look to it's people with an outstretched hand.

It should assist and support in every way possible and together we will achieve those very high goals we all deserve

We must always strive for a better health and overall care for everyone.
We must continually challenge our standards of safety and the quality of our health services
