Dungarvan Community Hospital which includes a care of the elderly facility.

Dungarvan Community Hospital serves the catchment area of Dungarvan and West Waterford.

The old part of the hospital dates back to 1839 but has been refurbished over the years.
The most recent development is a new 32-bedded unit which was completed in 2009.


The Community Hospital is a two-storey building with all resident accommodation on the ground floor. It has a total capacity for 132 residents.
It provides long-term care, rehabilitation, respite, convalescence, palliative and dementia-specific services.
It also caters for the young chronic sick.

The Hospital is governed by the Health Service Executive (HSE). Services are provided in six different units.

Dungarvan Community Hospital is located in the town of Dungarvan. It is close to local amenities such as shops, restaurants and the local church.
