The management and governance of Blackrock Abbey is directed by a team of dedicated and committed members of staff who continually strive to raise standards of care.

The Registered Provider of Blackrock Abbey is Jenny Walton RGN, BNS and the Person in Charge (formerly known as Director of Nursing) is Helen Murphy RGN, BNS.

They employ 61 people at Blackrock Abbey across a range of disciplines from management and nursing positions as well as care assistants, cleaning and maintenance staff and administration staff.

They provide regular staff training across a range of relevant topics and encourage all their staff to increase their knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis.

Blackrock Abbey are specialists in the care of older people, long term care, dementia care, psychiatry of old age and progressive and non-progressive conditions that may require specialist care.

Their nursing home is a member of the Talbot Group, an organisation which provides specialist residential and day care services across a variety of adult users.
