Dalton Community Nursing Unit provides long stay residential care, day care and respite care.

The unit provides nursing care to those whose healthcare needs cannot be met through community services, families or careers.

The accommodation includes 20 single rooms with a wash-hand basin (one bedroom has a small ensuite toilet) two of the triple rooms have en suite facilities and four of the triple rooms have shared ensuite facilities between two rooms with a shower, toilet and wash-hand basin.

All needs based around the individual care plan of each resident.

Evidenced based, person-centred, quality nursing care is provided by using the Social Model of Care, thus promoting activities of daily living using a holistic approach.

The centre is located on a raised site on the N60 Castlebar Road, 10 minutes walk from the town of Claremorris.

Irish Nursing Homes in Ireland and Our Irish Health System

Leadership comes in many guises. True leadership must have at its core an integrity and a heart.
We expect our Irish Health System, acting as a leader, guide and mentor,
to look to it's people with an outstretched hand.

It should assist and support in every way possible and together we will achieve those very high goals we all deserve

We must always strive for a better health and overall care for everyone.
We must continually challenge our standards of safety and the quality of our health services
