St Mary’s is a Health Service Executive (HSE) facility that provides accommodation for a maximum of 132 dependent older persons who require long-term care or respite care including persons who have dementia care needs.
The centre also provides “step down” care to persons discharged from acute services who are waiting for other services to be available.
The centre is comprised of five units.
The Dromore unit accommodates 28 male residents.
The Ashbury and Drumlin units accommodate 28 female residents each.
The Kavanagh unit also accommodates 28 residents but is mixed gender.
The Lorgan unit is a designated dementia care facility that provides care to both male and female residents and accommodates 20 residents.
The facility includes a coffee shop/pub that can be accessed by visitors to the facility where many social functions are held. Information courtesy of HIQA reports and other separate sources.
